Brigitte Bardot passed away December 28, 2025 at the age of 91. While she will best be remembered as a French actress, singer, model and animal rights activist, motorcycle fanatics will remember her for her rendition of the song Harley-Davidson.
Written by Serge Gainsbourg, the song reached #11 in the Belgium Ultratop 50 in 1967. I couldn’t find where the song made it onto any other pop chart. It was a song used in heavy rotation for years on the all-motorcycle-songs radio program, Motor Daddy on Citr 101.9 FM out of Vancouver, Canada.
Godspeed, Brigitte. You had a great run and will not be forgotten.
