Just heard the tragic news about Monique “Pua Mata” Parmalee being struck and killed by a motorcyclist while she was bicycle riding near her home in Yucaipa. Outside has a tribute to her you can read by clicking here.
I had the pleasure of meeting Pua while she was a member of a Sho-Air Cycling Team. I say “pleasure” because in addition to being an amazing competitor, it was always fun to bump into her at races and events. She was a class act.
