Fly E-Bike Caught Using Counterfeit UL Certification Logos

Fly E-Bike Caught Using Counterfeit UL Certification Logos

Major props to STREETBLOGNYC for their investigative journalism into Fly E-bike. Fly E-bike’s safety issues were well documented by STREETBLOGNYC even after being told by the New York City Department of Transportation that their coverage “would harm the city program” that encompassed e-bike and battery trade-ins.

In addition to the product safety concerns, Fly E-bike was found to be using counterfeit UL Certification Logos on their bikes. It is reported that the company agreed to pay a million-dollar fine for use of the phony certification stickers.

Name Change: Not much of a surprise to find that Fly E-bike is changing its name to Flye-Cycle. Got a feeling that Street Blog NYC is going to keep a close eye on the “new” company. Street Blog NYC‘s reporting has saved riders both physical pain and material losses. Thank you.
