Tank and Side Panel Paint Distracts From Other Issues

That flashy yellow paint and black rally stripes make this RWPed look ready to rock. It looks fast just sitting there. Unfortunately, an inspection of the right side case reveals the bike’s points (and who knows what else) are missing. The seller is asking a little too much for a non-runner with parts missing. This is a project perfect for somebody familiar with working on Kawsakis and who can get the owner to work a bit on that asking price.

The phrase “running when parked” (RWP) is code for a once treasured possession that has been neglected in the corner of the garage or tool shed for far too long. Lacking the energy, time or resources to bring the little beauty back to life, the owner lists it for sale in hopes that a new owner will massage it back to health. Our collection of RWP bikes fall into two distinct categories; treasure or trash. And you are the only one who can properly judge which category the bike belongs in.
