Awesome news. After posting a story and photos of trash dumped and vandalism along Squaw Flat Road in Fillmore, California, I was contacted by The Los Padres Forest Association. They reached out with an offer to pitch in and help address the situation. They asked me if I had any local Fillmore connections who might help out.
I contacted some long-time friends who are bicycle riders and active in the Fillmore community. They started to get things organized. Then something very unexpected happened. Before all the parties could be brought together, somebody went out and cleaned up the area on their own.
We don’t know who the unsung heroes are, but a big “thank you” goes out to them for their efforts. Please contact me next time you are organizing a clean up. I’ll do my best to be there.
