Twenty-five years ago (okay, 40 years ago), I would have loved to own this bike. It is made for somebody under 165 pounds and flexible enough to tuck in behind the fairing. If you could do those two things, you’d be on a 250cc bike that couldn’t be bested in acceleration by most 500s and a bike so lightweight that you could ride deeper into corners than 750 to 1000-cc bikes. This bike is a race bike with lights.
You don’t see many of these Suzukis offered up especially in California. It takes a little ingenuity to get them plated in the Golden State and this one is indeed plated. That’s a plus. The negatives are it is not easy to ride on the street (most of the bike’s potential comes alive at high RPM) and like a race bike, it needs proper maintenance (especially for its powervalve). Plus, if you live in California, there is always the chance of DMV not renewing the registration because it is a 2-stroke engine.
