Official disclaimer: This is not a Running When Parked. No, this little wonder is a runner! What you are looking at in disbelief (and for good reason) is a Briggs and Stratton motor mated to a 1980 Honda CR80. The builder uses the Briggs and Stratton motor for power and Honda’s crankshaft and transmission to give the bike 5 gears. The kickstart even works.
Why build this bike? Because he could! I’ll pass on a test ride, but I commend the builder for his ingenuity and creativity.
The owner is asking $1000 and, of course, the “carb needs to be cleaned.” I know he has invested a ton of hours building his creation. These types of projects are known as “labors of love” because you’ll never get the time you invested back in the form of bucks.
This bike needs to be hung from the garage rafters and shown occasionally at special events. He’s probably not going to get anywhere near the asking price so I don’t think the owner should sell it. This is a bike that will prove to the grandkids just how crazy grandpa was as a kid. He’ll be sorry if he sells it.
