I can almost guarantee that you’ve seen Santa Paula even if you have never visited the place. The town’s main drag serves as a backdrop for hundreds of movie and commercial productions each year. And the place was at one time home to Steve McQueen and Von Dutch.
The Santa Paula Cruise Night takes place the first Friday of every month in the Summer and it is worth the trip. There is no admission, plenty of places to eat, stores that stay open late, live music and eye-popping cars and trucks.
I realize this story is not a “Running When Parked” and it breaks with the “On-Two-Wheels” tradition (these vehicles have four wheels), but Friday night had such a stellar turnout of interesting vehicles, friendly folks and kick-butt street tacos that I had to post my favorites.
