Kawasaki KX250 MX With Tons Of Spares Needs Some Love

If you are a Kawasaki fan and looking for a project, this seller has a package deal that includes an almost-complete motorcycle and lots of spare parts. The only red flag I see is a highly modified swingarm and shock mounting location. Those shocks are pretty much straight up and down with the mount near the center of the swingarm. Not an engineer, but that setup is asking a lot of both the shocks and swingarm. I’ll bet the rear suspension feels good until the shock oil boils. But heck, you can find a stock swingarm for it.

If you are into old Kawasaki motocross bikes, this looks like a fun project if the owner will work with you on the asking price.

Parts department: The owner is throwing in a Got-Junk-sized bucket of spare parts to make this project a little bit easier and interesting.

Shocking position: I’m not sure that the modified rear suspension is going to hold up to much riding abuse. Reverting it to stock is the way to go.

The phraseRunning When Parked (RWP) is code for a once treasured possession that has been neglected in the corner of the garage or tool shed for far too long. Lacking the energy, time or resources to bring the little beauty back to life, the owner lists it for sale in hopes that a new owner will massage it back to health. Our collection of RWP bikes fall into two distinct categories; treasure or trash. And you are the only one who can properly judge which category the bike belongs in.
