Holy Batman, This Yamaha Batcycle Could Be Yours

Holy Batman, This Yamaha Batcycle Could Be Yours

This is not a Running When Parked, but how could I let it slip by without giving it a little attention? Under the Batcycle exterior is a clean-looking 1972 Yamaha 250. The owner has fashioned his custom build to look just like the Batcycle used in the 1966 TV series (this is a replica, not the real deal).

The owner is asking $24,500. If you are a Batman aficionado and super fan (with a lot of cash on hand), this may be your dream come true. It is on eBay for the next 14 days unless somebody beats you to it. Let me know if you buy it. I’ll want to take a ride with you!

If you click on the photo to enlarge it, you will notice the seller has a Batmobile in his garage along with a Batman outfit. This guy is a super fan and if you are too, what are you waiting for?
The Yamaha appears to be in great shape and ready for the 4th of July Parade in your hometown. It is hard to imagine that the owner wants to part with this little treasure.
While you may assume this is rocket powered, it is a 250cc 2-stroke motor that gets the Batcycle flying. If it doesn’t sell on eBay, the owner should consider trying again at the Mecum Motorcycle Auction in Vegas next January.
This article on the original Batcycle appeared in the December 1966 issue of Modern Cycle. The seller of the above bike did a great recreation.
