Espin Doesn’t Practice What They Preach – UPDATED

UPDATED 8/5/21: The battery safety tips have been removed from the espin website and that’s too bad. I wish I had made a copy of the article because it passed along valuable information. This happened after I posted this story on July 9th. When I posted my story, I hoped espin would change their marketing image. It never occurred to me that they would leave the bike-on-the-beach photo and remove their battery safety tips. Strange.

July 9. 2021: I commended espin, an electric-motorized bicycle company, for their article packed with useful electric bike battery health tips. Too bad the company ignores their own advice. Their website’s main page shows their e-bike on the beach next to the ocean. This image breaks two of their tips: “Keep away from salt” and “Avoid water.”

The only saving grace is the image is so poorly photoshopped that most people will be able able to tell it is fake. Still, why fake a photo by positioning your product in a place you advised your customers to avoid? It appears espin is good at giving advice and not as good at following it.
